Preamble

This document is meant for Aikido Kenkyukai International (AKI) members who plan to visit Japan for practice. It contains information that will hopefully help you plan your trip, and have a better experience over all.

I’ve tried to include as much information as I could, on all aspects of the trip – from pre-trip planning, through living at the house, class schedule and how to use the train and bus as well as leisure activities.

While I’ve done my best to write based on my own experience in the fall of 2016, I’m sure I have left out many things.

I hope this document will be able to grow and expand with contribution from AKI members as they travel to Japan and provide or correct the information here.
